Cool shjrt ideas. I like Miriam's idea and I googled shirt apron and saw that neat idea too. I have several of my dad's thaf will make aprons and have a few squares to put in quilts.

What a great way to free up floor space! Reminds me of those old Wacky Wall Walker toys. The shirt cover is a great invention also.

I saved shirt scraps for the DGDs to piece.

Well, I took 5 machines camping. I am hoping pictures will load here.

I think as many boys as girls tried sewing machines.
We sewed holes in paper bags. I didn't really know how well that went over until we saw two of the boys in the log cabin in the dark room shining a flash light into their bags.
One boy accidentally sewed hearts on the sides of his bag. (When you unfold the bags you get a different design on the sides.)
Some kids wouldn't try at all.
Some kids wouldn't leave.
One tough looking man that stopped by said he goes home from work and sews to unwind - he said it is very relaxing to sit and sew. He works at a prison.
There are things I would do very differently.
Kids do not mind steering wheel spinner knobs to turn machines.
Nobody laughed at the spinner knobs.
Parents were happy to see finger guards.
