There wasn't a picture on the craigslist ad and I don't know who would have told her the value but her price is hefty.
" have a singer genie 1970 sewing machine was told worth between $600-$700 and willing to take offers as well"
I keep wondering are people really paying these over-inflated prices? People who just want an interesting antique for display maybe? Some of them get taken off craigslist so maybe they have sold.

The first one listed is a 201, not exactly 'rare'. The second one gets no comment because my mommy always said ''if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all''.VBG

looks nice but it was his GRANDPA'S???
I have been selling sewing machines mostly to men this time around. Men who sew or who want to sew. I've had to give some little sewing lessons. I get a big kick out of watching them do it. They are a blast. Who knows maybe Grandpa did sew a little. Very little judging by the use...

Now it's getting ridiculous...$2000 valued at $4000 and it's a Imperial with a Singer manual so they didn't even get that right

"No offense, but are you high?
This is NOT a Singer sewing machine. It was made by the Imperial Sewing Machine Co.Birmingham UK (England)
In all honesty,It should NOT valued at $4000 (unless it has some amazing connection to a historical person/place/event)
I'm sorry if you were misled by someone else regarding this machine in the first place but I thought I would at least give you the opportunity to be aware of the truth.
