Wow, the table and decals look really nice on this one. In the Cal Poly SLO area....too bad I won't be there for another month. http://slo.craigslist.org/hsh/3000339060.html
Hi, guys, been so busy that I fell behind. Spent the weekend trying to catch up, but to no avail. Been out junking and came accross this. (Will attempt to insert Pictures). Wonder what ya'll think. I am going back up next week, and may just bring her home with me, just for looks, as I would have no directions as to operate her. It is a Wheeler & Wilson, we think from about 1850-1870.
Onalee, that's a Wheeler & Wilson...and we can find you directions!! It's an earlier model, but which one is escaping me right now... I'll look for it and get back to you unless someone else knows.
Bring that baby HOME! (I would!!)

Onalee... Needlebar information just refers to the machine as a "lowbed" saying that the numbering system of these early models was somewhat unreliable... for example, what started as a W&W #5 later became a "W&W #something else"
From what I can see, this is from at least the early 1870's, maybe earlier...and will be a curved needle machine. I'd be interested to see better pics of the machine!!

Now, this is something I've never seen before. http://slo.craigslist.org/atq/2997288573.html
I finally tried a little bit of FMQ on my 301 yesterday. I got the clear plastic foot from Sew Classic. It was a very interesting experience. I quilt on a short arm on frame setup, so the feeling of moving the fabric instead of the machine was really different. But I liked it, and my 301 did a great job. I have to practice, practice, practice, but I can see that I would use this for smaller projects.

Hmmmmm......not sure what to think about that. Hope the machine survived somewhere else.
