You know I'm not getting any sewing done sitting here reading this thread! But keep the jokes and info coming.
So far I've only got 2 tops made out of my flannel scraps and theres still one machine waiting attention.

Tomorrow I'm going to a quilting/sewing bee that my church has twice a month. Its my first time going. I don't have much to bring them for show and tell right now but some of the ladies asked me if I would bring a machine or two to show, so I decided I would take the Wanzer HC, because its in working condition, if I can figure out how to sew on it. That way they can actually play on it a bit. (see my thread posted asking for help).
I think I will take one of my clones along as well. If you were not a collector but sew, what machines do you think would be of interest? I don't think I will take my featherweight along. I'm sure being quilters that they've all seen or have one of those.
I'm looking forward to 5 hours of child-free sewing time and getting to know some new ladies. I'm fairly certain I'm going to be the youngest one there, but thats nothing new. Rarely do I ever meet anyone my age who has the same interest in these machines as I do. I've decided I'm going to take a project to work on for myself, not one of my customer orders. I need to do something for me for a change.

LOL. Yea, How many "Marlboro Miles" does it take to get a sewing machine? We should ask the seller. The best one was the "Mountain Bike" for something like 10,000 Miles (or pop). No one that smokes that much would be on a bike, let alone on a Mountain riding a bike. I never did understand that one. Butt (pun) did you notice that it has a blue foot controller? Not pink. What would Rodney say?

I hope you have a great, child-free day! I think you should consider taking something that is colorful and shiny. A 15 clone, perhaps? or a Singer with great decals? I would take either my Atlas(pink), or my Monarch 15 clone(also pink), or my Remington clone(blue). With any of those, I could drop my feed dogs.
Ok between you and Miriam, everyone is probably laughing and thinking about those old Marlboro commercials! I bet that Marlboro machine was owned by a tall lanky cowboy! Ya think he mended his chaps with it? Of course, it has to have a blue foot controller! You wouldn't find a Marlboro man putting his foot on a pink controller!

And after running a great seam, he'd sit back, and say "Ahhhh...", with great contentment in his voice .

Cool that you have the pink machines too. My heard also has a pink Monarch in a Monarch case and two pink Atlases, one in an Atlas case. They sew nicely too.
Have a good time jennb. Sew yourself something fun and show off those vintage machines.
I could not go back and edit. My bad on heard; I meant herd of sewing machines, which is out of hand. More like stampede.
