Steve, here is a picture of Hubby's machine. He thought you might like to see it incase you didn't quite know how the bobbin winder is mounted. Also he says we have a winter tire and need a summer tire if you know a source of getting one. BTW your machine is really nice and we are looking for a cabinet to put ours in. It is a hand crank.
I thought I'd check in and see what you all are up to. It looks just like I never left--ya'll are still hauling in machines and cleaning them up as fast as you can!!
I got moved into the new/old house last summer, but still haven't sorted out the machines in the garage or sewing room. I sold quite a few, and will continue to pare down until I reach a reasonable number. Apparently, 150 is NOT a reasonable number!! I haven't worked on a machine since I moved; I've been too busy trying to decide what should and shouldn't be kept, dealing with new house issues, selling old house, family problems, etc. Anyway, I need inspiration, so will try to hang out her so that ya'll can inspire me to get back in the groove!

Well hello Johnny,
Glad to see you on the board again we missed you. I know the move has been hectic. BTW remember the 28 HC that gave me fits at the toga. Well it now sews like a dream is one of my best machines for piecing. And to think I was about to get rid of the thing but glad I did not so it will be traveling with me again this year. You were right when you said when I get bugs worked out it would become my favorite machine. Well glad your back.

Hello Everyone! I am new to the boards - joined about a month ago and have been reading ever since lol. A big thank you to all - so much knowledge shared. I am new to this vintage thing and from what I'm reading its a very contagious disease!! I found a lovely Davis treadle at the local consignment shop and put her on lay away. I will post a pic once I figure that part out lol. You can't see the machine - I was so excited I forgot to take a pic of it . I will stop back this weekend and get some additional shots of her. I am going to name her "Bette" of course!

Oh thank you Glenn! I'm sure I will have a ton of questions as I have never used a treadle before. I have a Singer 9020 that I purchased back in the 90's to make Halloween costumes for my kids. I now use it for my quilts and I have to say it does a great job - never had a problem with it. But there is something so beautiful about the vintage machines - sigh...

I'm pretty sure Bernina tires will fit on the Model 12. If I could find anything in my piles, I'd look and see for sure, but my bobbin winder tires are all MIA somewhere in the garage.
