Well I shot a pic of the living room... It is pretty scary. That's JUST tables... Machines are in the back. Machines need to go in the shop. Shelves are coming soon I hope. Well when someone can walk on the floor. I bet it won't take long before nobody can even see the floor...
Ok so I shot a picture that won't come up. You just have to imagine wall to wall sewing machine tables.

I'm glad we don't live there yet. We ARE planning to move there soon.... it should be entertaining. The boxes of fabric are yet to come. There is going to have to be either a huge sale, a huge dumpster or a huge haul to GW.

We have had our hands full with that place. We own the place next door. It has been gutted. The health department would rather have people paint a place than live there. Anyway things went to a halt until we got the other place painted. We are really needing to get something done with the place we live in. It is in a rather bad area of Indy and we need out. The shop isn't in a 'good' area but it isn't in a high crime area. AND thanks to the Health Department it looks a bit better than it did. People still can't get loans on houses so that is a strike against the area. We have an acre and a half + or - and debt free. We are doing the work ourselves and using stuff off CL or GW or wherever we scrounge plus what ever we need from Lowe's etc. The shop house is a hodge podge since it was built. We have had massive amounts of work to do. The house next door is a nice house but needed quite a bit of gutting and now needs massive amounts of re-building at this point. Anyway that room is the key to a lot of stuff moving around so I am very excited yet dreading the move. I will be trying to get rid of some of the cabinets soon. Seems I have headless cabinets. I think Glenn might come up some time and see if we can put some frankencabinets together and get a few treadles working & maybe some not so frankencabinets. I'm not sure what all there is but something has to move... It's like one of those puzzles I had when I was a kid. You have a bunch of squares to move and one blank. Remember those? Right now the shop room is the blank. Kind of scary.
Miriam, wow I wish I were closer, I'd love to help!
What is that two tone mocha and ivory machine sitting with its back to us in the middle?

I am so bad right now! I should be sewing or cleaning machines every chance I get, but I got hooked on solitaire on my computer so when I have a few spare minutes - I am playing solitaire! I had my percentage of wins to 5%, and I keep trying to raise that! I have to quit and get productive!
Miriam you make me feel guilty!

Oh, Nancy, that is the cutest little clone. I named it Sandy after the lady that carefully moved it from place to place for YEARS. It is barely used. I think I need to make a little saddle shoe pincushion to match it.

Do you see two modern machines? A lady bought two vintage machines and left those with me for parts. I set them over there and forgot about them. My sister checked them over and pronounced they were good machines but the needles were in backwards. I don't have that lady's phone number. grrrr. There aren't many machines in that room - most are in the old shop. It is going to get crazy pretty soon. I think some time this afternoon we might do a Glenn treatment on a couple old derelict machines.

It is SO nice to have this thread back! My computer would not load it for over six months. No amount of tech support or restarting, reloading, or dumping would allow me to view the page. Reading these posts is like seeing an old friend again. Huge happy sigh and tons to share soon!
