I like sewing, jigsaw puzzles, brain teasers, researching stuff, and vintage machines. I'm a crafter, I love attention to detail, I'm a perfectionist and can get a little OCD sometimes. I also have a tendancy to collect and to be drawn to the unusual. I have kept parrots, and have less than the usual breed dogs...a Chinese Crested (hairless) and Havanese (cuban). One of my past hobbies was building 1/12 scale dollhouses.

What about everyone else?
Are we sisters-?? I can so relate to this. Though no parrots. My dog is a Pom/Munchkin cross.
I do still have a 1/12 scale dollhouse to build. I also want to tinker more with a few woodworking projects. Chalk paint sounds kind of fun too...

I’ve thought and thought, but can’t think of more things,
that I enjoy as a hobby besides sewing machines.

I do mending for hire, and garden for food,
and I service machines when I’m in the mood.

But other than that, if I’m not mistaken,
I’m busy enough and my time is well taken.

Oh there is one more thing that I do part of the time,
I set, think, and ponder to write words that will rhyme.

Sewing. all kinds of needle work, painting, flower arranging, gardening, reading and all kinds of crafts. I love working jigsaw puzzles. There just isn't enough time to do everything I love to do but I sure give it a try.

Watching hockey (the Boston Bruins), collecting cup plates, a passion for movies old, new, and in-between. ANYTHING about Abraham Lincoln. Horses, dogs, cats. (my first love was Mister Ed). Dinosaurs, photography, writing poetry (208 so far). The list grows.

Okay, I lost my original post, so here goes. I knit, I make clothes, I make quilts. I used to have a terrific rose garden (BBT-before back trouble) and I used to raise fresh vegetables, but I can't do that any more. I am a relative newcomer to quilting, my avatar showing my first large quilt. I just finished assembling a state flower blocks quilt that my almost 88 year old aunt embroidered (I don't know when). It's a huge quilt, measuring 82" x 117". I'll post pictures on a second post because everytime I try to post with a message, the message disappears and just leaves the photos! LOL!

Nice job Jeannette, you chose a good color for the sashing. I sew, quilt, machine embroider, spend too much time on the computer playing games, and play with vintage sewing machines. Hobbies I've had in the past include lots of crafts and needlework, ceramics, refinishing furniture, working on cars(not really a hobby I'm trained and worked in the field), beading and making jewelry.
