Thanks. It is cleaning up nicely but it needs a lot of cleaning! Wow! That thing is dirty! The silver parts are so caked with filth that the number and words are impossible to read. It will take some time but I know it will be beautiful again.

A friend got this Necchi (how do you pronounce it?) last week at a thrift store for $5. She asked me to clean it and adjust as she had a problem with skipped stitches. Turns out (after reading manual) that the bobbin goes in opposite of what we usually do. "Insert bobbin into case with thread on top leading left to right". Turned bobbin around and no more skipped stitches.
I have a beautiful Necchi but she's from early 50's and black so I was very surprised to see this machine had Necchi on it. Warranty card does say "Division os Allyn International Corp".
