I *was* impatient waiting for it to start.... but now I'm having second, third, and fourth thoughts about my colour choices, so I'm quite happy to wait till January. With a bit of luck, by then I'll know what I want to do! LOL

I hear you BlueChickhen, I got my background color, I am lost about the blocks. When I seen how small the blocks are in the tut. I started getting scared! Not so sure I can do this. I think I can do the PP but I have never made a 4.5in block.

I never have liked PP before the Christmas swap but it's fun and rewarding when you finish one. It will be great to work together on them. Looking foreward to it.

 I'm in big trouble now!! I'm seriously thinking of scrapping the scrappy plan, and going for three colours.

The fabric library isn't extensive, so I picture the grey as being slightly darker.

Don't worry Kim, it isn't hard at all. Funny, I started out making big blocks when I first started quilting and quickly went down to the smaller block sizes. Now I prefer to do blocks that are 6-inches or smaller. The key is to make sure you cut everything out just right and to make sure your seam is an exact quarter inch. Sally Collins, one of the most amazing quilt instructors across the nation, is known for her precise piecing. Her secret is simple, simply measure each unit and the final block to make sure the size is correct and everything will come together perfectly. I bet after the first week or so it'll feel a lot more natural for you. And if you have questions or need help, we'll all gladly throw our opinions at you!

Blue Chicken - Wow! The three colors is definitely striking.

i like the green one best, i can see the 2ndary design better in it compared to the blue one.

that could be because black was used in the green and grey in the blue one.

i've always loved the janes that limit the color scheme.

the first time i liked a scrappy was our guild jane last year.
