Aww Dotty, you are so sweet. I know there are some out there that may have done all the mysteries, but Dotty has always been a staunch supporter of my little addiction!

white pine glad you like the start. I like it too

JustJan yes, just put a couple dots of glue to hold them in place. Because the block is so small, I found it worked to hold it together when sewing better than just pins.

And I know these are small blocks, out of the box for some of you, me included. I really don't like tiny things like this, never did them before, but always loved the way they look but thought they would be too hard to make. But making these, they aren't as bad as I thought. Just my resistance to change, I guess.

and as to the TOT I think one of my favorite tone on tones are black - they give a pop when you need some black but don't want it to scream at you.

Wanted to show you my favorite tone on tone of all time -- I was given 3 yards of this. I don't use it too often because it is a huge print, but it seemed to go nicely with this top I am working on. The pieces are finished at about 3" at the bottom.
http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...l-t276407.html This is another example of using tone on tone when you don't want a solid.

Oh Judy, I love your ruler quilt. Think I'll borrow your idea and make something using my fruit prints. Bet a smaller version would make cute placemats.

I agree, lets do something for her. She always does these for us and it's totally free.......for us. A lot of work goes into these for her. Dotty your very good to think of her and to remind us.

I love these cheerful stars. Great for mug rugs, minis, etc.

I really like this star! Out of my norm, too, but I need a gentle push.

All my A-E fabrics are now cut and awaiting my next session. Right now I'm headed to the club car for leftover stuffed shells and salad. I might try to make zoodles with dinner. I'm a sucker for the power of suggestion, and have 2 zucchini to use up.

After that, I'm taking about 10 bags of clothing donations to the thrift store. If you've heard of the KonMarie method if de cluttering, that's what I started about a week ago. Keep only the things that "spark joy" is her mantra.

I have that ruler Judy, would be a really fun way to make use of it and make use of scraps.
Well I never am among the first in anything but these stars are just so darn cute. Actually didn't realize how similar to Judy's colors my picks were. I started with the blueish fabric and built from there.
