I'm assuming that means a signature block. I'm very interested. I would love to have a block with everyone's signature, screen name, geographical location. I know that would mean a lot of blocks for everyone to sign, but I'll never use this quilt without thinking of logging in here for inspiration and on-line friendship.

Ozarkmomma,
Lesley - who was known to us as "Lacelady" posted a QAYG tutorial on the first Dear Jane thread which started in January of 2010... this is the note I kept with my DJ info:
QAYG tutorial on [Dear] Jane Stickle Cyber Block Party - Jan 2010 Thru…. Post #3202 - p.161 @ 20/page
I'm not sure if the following link will work for everyone. The site is set up such that the last numbers before the ".html" in the web address is the page number. This number can vary from one person to the next. I have my general settings set for 20 postings per page.

Also - Sheri - I have no idea who told you it was 'bad form' but no in fact early on we were told how to post a link so that it would actually "link" easily and not be something you had to copy/paste into your browser. Kudos to you Sheri!!! dont give up!! I think I mentioned I went back for my law degree which I earned @ 50. My son & family got back last Thursday from TX where my DIL's Mom had just graduated earning her BA. We went to my neighbors graduation from Moorpark College last week - at 46 she earned her AA and graduated with honors on the Deans list My hubby is a professor of post-grads mostly @ UCLA but also visiting professor at Cal State at times. He always remarks on how those students who go back to school are among the best and definitely the most conscientious.... so no give up!! I remember all those law school essays, briefs... and Bar exam[s]! We'll support you! and offer you the occasional break you need them for your sanity!
oooo.... yes - I mentioned signature blocks early on and have a list of those who signed up originally and have continued to add to the list. Since this is going to continue for another year, I will wait a few months still. I thought I would send a PM to all on my list by the end of this summer to see who is still interested at that time. I think once we reach the halfway mark we should be able to know how many blocks to make.
Happy sewing
Gus

alright then.... my page link changed when I posted it to the general link for the thread. You basically have to go to that thread and look for post #3202. If you go to the end of the "address" just prior to the html you could insert '161' if you have your settings at 20/page or '322' if your settings are at 10/page and so forth.
I'm removing part of the address so that I can show you what I mean [we'll see if it still gets adjusted]

Gus -- isn't there also a tute on quilting a section of the quilt at a time instead of a block at a time? I thought I bookmarked it, but apparently I didn't and a search didn't turn up anything either. I may not be searching on the right words.

This absolutely makes sense.... I thought I had kept track of it - guess I will browse through these pages once again. I wanted to make a list of all links and tutes on these pages [thread] anyway ...ahem will take a while, but if kept up will be well worth it [I'll share ]
for some reason I thought the quilt had a medallion center??? it also could be that it was suggestive of one and gave me the idea to put a medallion in the middle. I went to Road to CA second week of January and saw something I had considered putting in the center which leads me to believe the link is probably on the original site - before we officially began.

Ahem...... Katybob - how good is your memory??? I just went back to my very first post on this thread and will copy & paste a sentence.....
Another site just posted by katybob last week can be found here: http://creativeribbons.blogspot.com/...u-gomy-dj.html . She shares her method of QAYG, making her DJ in nine sections.
mystery solved!!!

I am still behind, but I thought I would do a little posting! First, here are two of this week's blocks [haven't done C10 yet ] TR9 I foundation/PP'd the larger bottom section by machine and then completed the remainder by hand. I wanted to make sure I matched the points and besides... wanted something to relax with while watching tv. BR2 is fully paper pieced by machine as recommended at the thatquilt.com site.
A hug!
