You girls are just amazing and I like the Indiana block! I will be terrific surrounded by the rest of the pretties you have made! I agree with one of the other comments that the block itself is a bit off...but I think it will draw your eye in the quilt because of the uniqueness.

Y'all are right Mirabelle and qltgrose, it doesn't have the same "feeling" as the other stars. So it stands out to me too. The next round of stars are different also in that they have background spaces in the stars. Some I have made with non background pieces and others I have made with background squares. Not certain if I like the "hole" look.

Don't worry about catching up QuiltingNinaSue, some easier stars are on their way with fast piecing. I have a tendency to do about 5 or 6 at a time, then when I get down to none in reserve, I get busy again. Hope the eye specialist has a good solution for your eyesight. I need new glasses and just can't seem to get myself in for an exam. My father in law has wet macular degeneration and it is slowly being cleared up with shots. It's amazing what medicine can do these days. I hope yours is a simple fix and you are quilting again soon.

Thanks, toverly, whatever will be, will be. Did not know when the Optic Nerve blew in the left eye...almost all at once, what was going on...but there was or is no fix for it. Thankful for the eye doctor we have now, because he took pictures of the eye ball, and forward them on to the retina specialist to sew, so they know the situation. Although my vision is 'blotchy', I can see this time....unlike the left eye when sight was just 'gone'. Between eyes and knees going bad, dh is ready to 'trade me' in for a better model!! LOL!!

Great blocks Lyn Hut! I love the color combinations. As this quilt moves along, I am wondering if I made a mistake not choosing a color theme to carry thruout the quilt. Oh well, there's always next year too.

Very pretty blocks, ladies. Such great color combos. I kind of like the Indiana block; it's different than the ones so far. I'm working ahead on them and some of the later blocks will make this one "fit in".

Toverly, I'm with you: I'm sort of wishing I'd have stuck with a theme instead of just a scrappy look. I'm really trying to use up fabric from my stash and didn't want to buy more. But....my stash isn't going down LOL!!

janRN, have you figured out if you're doing sashing yet? I am thinking of scrappy flying geese like a quilt posted on last year's challenge. I'm sorry to the poster, I fogot who you were but your quilt was beautiful. But oh, that's alot of geese, paper pieced of course. I'm thinking scrappy to pull the scrappy stars together, your thoughts?

I have no clue how I'm going to put this thing together--if I do all 50 blocks it will be HUGE!!! I saw the quilt you're talking about with the Flying Geese and love it. Wow, that's a lot of geese LOL. I love making blocks, hate making quilts. I have a habit of making blocks and putting them in The Box That Shall Never Be Opened then giving them away to friends for charity quilts. Have you ever done a quilt without sashing between the blocks? I never have but that's how I picture this one. Hmm--now you've got me thinking!

Hi Jan and toverly I am doing a colour theme because I don't have a stash I try to only get fabric I need for each quilt, this is only my 4th big quilt and don't have much left over from the others madybe enough to make pillow cases with. I have made a few smaller quilts and cot quilts. I am not sure how I am going to put this together either as I am doing the 12" blocks which will make a large quilt with out putting a slaches in.(decisions decisions) I am just enjoying make the blocks at the moment I wil think about it later.

    Happy sewing everyone.
