I want to join in. What is the smallest size scrap do you consider can be used for a scrap for this? I plan to make it scrappy.

And what do I do to receive notices when there is a new reply to this thread?

I like all your colors. I think that if it were me, I would use the middle photo with the greens, golds and blues and all in that pile, they all go together so well. And these fabrics will be used on Saturday for clue 2 and for clue 3 along with a neutral, either yardage or scrappy.

A third color will be brought in at the end. You might or might not at that point think you are still in love with the pink and may use that, or go with another fabric, scrappy or yardage. Me, I think I would go with something else. Even a darker purple would be better.

hope this helps you, CraftyJulz, and anyone else a bit confused at this point.
Ok? What pink? I have the purple tone on tone if that’s what you mean? So basically you’re saying I should use all my scraps & then find a restful tone to go with them? Maybe a super light teal tonal?
I also have “love to sew’s” question, what’s the smallest size usable scrap? Like what’s the smallest width of square or rectangle we’re going to cut? Thanks for your help.

CraftyJ - what come across on my screen that I called pink I guess is really purple.
Yes, a restful color, light teal would be good.
And tomorrow you will be cutting the largest size that will be needed from your scraps. All will become clear then.

I'll be waiting until the clue tomorrow before deciding on fabric. I have a tote full of triangles that are cut from 3.5" squares or larger. I was saving them up to make a HST quilt and I know I've got enough for more than two quilts now.

So if they are big enough to use, I'll be sorting through them. Otherwise I'll be using up other small yardages (like less than a fat quarter) that I've got in totes.

I’m going to try this one, Judy.

Do you think these fabrics will work?

Ooh, those are really pretty fabrics, Janie!

I'm ready for this train to start chugging! I finished another scrappy log cabin quilt top today. It's been in the UFO pile for a year, so feels great to see it together at last.
