Glad you're still with us Deecee. You'll get it finished someday and I hope you will let us see it. I hope you are able to find the time to do more handwork. I usually work at night while my husband is watching TV. That way I am with him but I don't have to concentrate on what he is watching. Good luck.

Well ladies I keep forgetting to post my finished quilt photo on this thread. I finished in March so I could put it in my local quilt show and I won 1st place for applique. Then in April I put it in another quilt show and won best in show. I was so excited I have never won anything before. I have planes to put it in two more shows this year than it can stay home with me.
I can’t believe how different and beautiful everyone’s quits are turning out. Well congratulation to everyone that is finished and keep going if you are not. This quilt is to stunning to not finish.

    Regards

    Lisa >>

Congratulations Lisa. You must have been thrilled with both wins. Your quilt is absolutely beautiful and your work deserved the recognition.

Lisa, you did a beautiful job from start to finish and I am so happy for you that you won the "Best of Show". I am hoping to enter mine in the Arts & Crafts show at the Woman's Club in Nov. You are a real inspiration.

    Sorta finished!

    Hi ladies!

I don't know if anyone is still out there from the original group of AOTH, but here is mine finally AS MUCH FINISHED AS IT WILL EVER GET!
I got extremely frustrated and totally sick at heart (no pun intended) over the way mine was finishing and lost focus. I put it aside for a day when I felt I could bear to look at it again and when I did, I simply put a small plain border on it , and gave the dang thing away. I feel better just having it gone. Maybe some day I'll try another.

    Roxanne,
I love it. It looks like a collection of stained glass windows. I'm so glad you are sharing this with us.

Congratulations on finishing your quilt. I wish I had done what you did and I would have been finished ages ago. I am still working on the border (which I designed) of my quilt. I have made 4 other quilts while this one was in the works. I have 3 more quilts staring me in the face. I thought I would finish it over the summer but everything is going crazy. I have finished all of the applique but I have hours of embroidery staring me in the face.

    I Feel Good

I finally finished the embroidery work on the borders. Started May, 2011; Quilt top finished Oct, 2014. Now I have to figure out how I want to quilt it with all of the different colors and embroidery.

Please tell me you accomplished this monumental feat using the machine embroidery CD and not by hand....you are to be commended for a fantastic absolutely beautiful quilt that I only dream I could commit to doing..that would be by machine embroidery of course... congratulations .great job !

AOTH quilted and hanging in my hallway

I finished machine quilting my AOTH with steel gray thread so I could see where I was going. Black on black was making me blind. The quilting turned out better than I thought it would but not as great as I had hoped it would. Now on to my next baby quilt, Sunbonnet Sue.
