since you are making your blocks/top for yourself you can easily make them in red, white, blue, or rainbow. that's the nice thing about this bom. it isn't a swap, you choose the fabric. win, win :thumbup:

nothing to apologize for. i did not mean to trivialize your idea. making quilts for our service people is great. many members on the board have made QOV's. i am sure that some participants in this bom will make their blocks with service people in mind.

hope your grandson is doing well. he obviously has a fantastic grandmother who is thinking of him often.
