I've never done a BOM so my question is How will I know how much fabric to purchase? Do you give us guidance on colors, yardage, etc?

I have never done one either but my daughter did and she loed doing it. I too don't know how much material to buy. I will just have to send my daughter to get 6 yards of 20 different colors I guess.

I think everybody does their BOM differently. I have been using up my stash for the ones I am currently working on, so each quilt will be very scrappy. It's hard to tell ahead of time how much fabric will be needed ahead of time.

But I shall fall in with whatever the other quilters decide...ciao
I agree dannypanny, I have been collecting pics of churches. Someday I would like to make a quilt with all kinds of church blocks. Greeter Eva

I'm taking an applique class tomorrow just in case I need to know. I really like the idea of a town. I've seen some towns that I swear have more churches than people.

It would be interesting someday to make a quilt of religious buildings like churches, temples, mosques, meeting houses, synagogues, etc. There are also many iconic religious symbols from all religions that would make a beautiful world religion quilt. Hmm...maybe I need to research this and put it in my someday folder.
