I take it you recognize the fabric? My GD refers to it as my "Florida fabric"

I did! I noticed that you zigzag close to the edge? Do you always do it or just because we are going to have this blocks around for a while before sewing the top?

I used the method of Quick Triangles that ends up with bias edges so I sewed around the edges so it doesn't get mis-shapen while waiting to be put in quilt top, since ALL the edges are bias I stitches around the edge.

I tried that but was completely unsucessful! Now I just stop choosing the fabric as soon as I find one combination I like and that is working great.
