When You're ready I'll give you the formula I used to get the 60x72 size. 50 2-1/2" strips + 51 2-1/2" spacers It's a little tricky. I can't believe I did it so quick myself either. If i used jelly rolls it would have been done quicker!!!

I have now entered into the world of applique with #3!

I used the PP pattern from the yahoo group ... so my basket changed from what most everyone else's is. I'd looked at your other blocks awhile back, and didn't go back to them last night before I made #3. I like the looks of yours with the "V" in the top centre of the basket better than the way mine is done!

Very pretty, QE. I love the red fabric in your block. Your basket is pretty-I had to go look at the others because I forgot what they looked like (senior blonde moment). I used templates instead of pp; taught myself pp this summer so may do that in Pony Club. You're moving right along and I love seeing your blocks.

So striking! Think I'll choose fabrics and sew these tonight! #4 looks really easy! Gotta get some work done now.

QE, your blocks are lovely! Good job on the basket. I had trouble with that darn handle, applique not being my favorite method. :)

Thanks JanRN .... though don't get yourself too impressed with the speed. Remember that #4 was done back in June, as was most of what I posted yesterday!! So from here on in it'll slow to a snail's pace .... as I have other things I have to do too!

Thanks, Evie. I think it was beginners luck! I wont' get my hopes up so high for when I do the next one. Though it'd be nice.

QuiltE.
Love your blocks. You chose just the right fabrics, especially the blues.
You know that I love blue, and red, too.
