Well i didn't do a very good job at making this bom. I'm abit disappointed with myself. I will definitely take more care in cutting and making sure my seam allowance is much better when i make this into a whole quilt. I hope everyone has fun with this bom. I can't wait to see how everyone elses turns out, with the colors. Have fun happy sewing :-) .

Here is the same block, broken down two ways, with a light background.

I think Denise made a great choice! :P

well I wish you'd done them both in the same colors so I might could figure out what the difference is! (besides the very center patch)

Over the weekend I will start choosing my colours. I think I will pick out several fabrics with a bit of yardage to it. I think I might add another project to my ever growing list and start a new sampler quilt. This BOM will be my start.

I have the pattern printed and will start it over the weekend.

    Cheers

    Andrea

The difference is the solid strips of fabric in the second one Patrice posted, so there are less pieces of the background fabric to put together. It is a shortcut.

one is made entirely of squares and half-square triangles. the other uses the same pieces marcia used in her instructions at the website. get out yer crayons if you don't like my colors.

Good choice Denise, because I need a lot of practice on half square triangles. It looks like a lot of fun

thank you Wendy, I kept running the pictures up and down trying to figure out what the difference was besides the colors!
WOW now there is someone besides my husband who thinks I'm hard to please! He'll be pleased to know that someone in the world agrees with him!

I hope my bff can get her feathers unruffled before bedtime!! :D
