I have just ordered my book. Can someone give me fabric requirements so I can order and be ready to go? Thank you.

Midwestmom, this is a scrappy quilt so there aren't exact fabric requirements for the blocks themselves. I personally bought a FQ pack (40) and then some yardage to go with it.

For the Queen size it says:
Border and binding fabric 3-5/8 yards
Backing fabric, 8-3/4 yards of 42-44"

For the Lap size it says:
Border and binding fabric 1-5/8 yards
Backing fabric, 3-5/8 yards of 42-44"

Though I am not joining you this will be fun to watch the progress of each of the players and see how these quilts come along.

Okay, thank-you for answering my questions from previous thread, reference fabric yardage. I printed out our schedule. I have my book, yea and it was early, double yea. Next week I will sort through my scraps and stash for fabric selection and wash fabric. I’m so excited about this project. I decided to make mine a queen size with added inches for the final size border to fit my king size. I’m wanting a wide king size close to 120”.

I have a question. How many flying guess are we making total? I found the directions on making them, which I will use my own method, if the measurements match up. I just need to figure out how many.

I will respond on this thread too for those who are wondering...

I am pretty sure it says on those pages...I know when I printed mine it says to print 1 of the first page and then so many copies of the 2nd page...

Ok I just looked it up and for the queen you need 64 units for the lap size 48 units...

******For those paper piecing their center block*******

I am working on mine today. Just a suggestion to help save a little fabric. I recommend renumbering G1-G6 and making the biggest section (G6) #1...then just go down the section. Same for C1-C6; I1-I6; and O1-O6...this will help save fabric. I cut the biggest piece 1 1/4"x4" and then each of the smaller sections 1 1/4"x2 3/4"

Then for sections BB1-BB7 & T1-T7 also change them around...#7 becomes #1.

If this doesn't make sense let me know and I can take some pictures too.
