Thank you everyone. Today they put in an internal defibrillator after what happened at home, so maybe this will work out better.

My DCousin & her DH came this weekend. She helped us paint at DM's house for a few hours on Sat. We aslo went to the LQS here in Brady. Then ya'll won't believe it but she bought some flannel at Walmart for $1 a yard. She picked up some other stuff & only spent $33. $10 of it was for 10 yards of flannel.
They left this morning & we went to Fredricksburg to watch DGD in the chorus of Music Man. It was a 3 hour play. With the hour & a half drive there & another one back, it made for a long day!

I love to use flannel on the back of my quilts! The quilt are not be so apt to fall off the bed with flannel backing. I get flannel sheets on sale and use them. I like to use sheets for backing - all that wide fabric!!! I know, don't tell the quilt police! LOL

I have used sheets for backing, both flannel & just 300 count 100% cotton.

Me too. At estate sales I've picked up vintage sheets still new in their package. Beautiful and the cotton feels amazing on the back of a quilt.

I am back in the virtual world! My farm commitment is over...we had a group of fellow dairyman come to our farm last Thursday from out of state as well as a few from "down under". They come to look at cows and catch up on the friendships created because of those cows. This is the display we had set up to greet guests as they walked up the driveway from the parking space. Behind the garden shed we had a tent for the meal. This was quite an undertaking for our family to host this as well as other duties we had for the actual 5 day convention 2 1/2 hours from home. And the buses unloaded....cars filled in the parking space below.
Now it's SEW TIME!

Oh my OK, that must have been a tremendous amount of work for you and your family. I'm sure it was appreciated by all the attendees!

Looks like a huge undertaking, OK. I'm sure you are all worn out. Your display on the old doors is great!
