We had a lot of help from family and friends. The old doors were in our old house. I was going to paint them with an undercoat and a top coat and then sand and distress them. Did not happen so just hinged them together!

Yes Saturday we were exhausted and slept well. Sunday I did a couple loads of laundry. Today got some bookwork done, but I have boxes all over that I have to sort through and put stuff away. My house was neat and tidy when I got home. Friends and DD had it all under control. Now going to spend time in the sewing room.

I always wash and dry the flannel sheets - not so much the cotton ones, as I do not prewash my fabrics.

Gosh so glad to see you Anne - been a while!

I got my Ringo Lake quilt finished! It only needs the binding put on (hopefully, today) and then I'll post pictures. Mine is done in my own color scheme... orange and royal blue. And I did a straight setting rather than the 'on point' setting, and added a different border. I love it!

Ok, that looks like quite a party with big buses and all those cars! So much prep work and clean up, nice to have all that help on it. Enjoy your sewing.

Happy Fourth of July everyone. Nice to hear for you, Honchey. QB is hoping to find person to led them on the Gypsy Girl project.

I had my Father's niece and family come last Thursday. Had a ball with them, they are so nice and wonderful to have as house guests. I prepared meals with their help, and they forbid to clean up every day. Mega and I were so tired, we both relaxed in my room today...they left at 6 this morning. Hope they come again soon.

Sewbizgirl, that looks great. Love how you worked the pattern and your LA work looks like a pro did the work.

Our Samsung refrigerator new filter flooded the kitchen with water. Happens every time we change the filter. We are both too tired to handle it well tonight. Mopped up and dh vacuumed. Dh went back to trying to 'invent' his Cub's hay rack to push his orchard grass into piles. It worked last year, but this year's model is not working yet. Hope we have better luck tomorrow. Ice maker on refrig quit working and I was putting ice into it the last four days. When it rains it pours. We are still in drought conditions here. Water bill going up with all the fowl we have and watering what we really do not want to lose this year. Trying to find that silver cloud.

Have done four rows on Bible Sampler and made two pieced butterflies. Will try to post pictures when I can.

'ok' must stand for Oak Knob? And your dashes on the tombstone must be in Iowa? That looks like a really big event you took part in. Next time, maybe it will be someone else's turn? :-)

QNS, I've been there, done that, when one appliance goes out, and you turn around and there is another problem with something else. Well, one day at a time.

SBG! Look at you goooo! The back sure is a show case for your work. Let me know when you start sewing for hire! lol

Yeah, I know i have been absent..I'm very busy with the stitchers group when I'm in NC and when I get back home I have so much to do and I seem to be working more this past year and a half and it exhausts me.. Not counting recuperating from the knee replacement last November..Now that the knee is working ok my hips are acting up because of the comensation of being aligned properly. The one saving Grace is that I love being in the atmosphere of all the different machines and I love walking the aisles of all the fabric and different notions. I'm also downsizing the stuff I have been saving all these years and giving it to the stitchers group that makes charity quilts..
getting rid of stuff and donating it to the different organizations that will pick up the items...

I have been making small quilts that don't take long to put together... I like 2.5" squares and 5" squares lately and have been sewing up a bunch of them. 9 patch blocks are my favorite..
I'm going to check out the flannel sheets they should be on sale right about now..It's so hot all over the east coast..

I wish all of you a Happy July 4th.. Pray for our country and the world we live in.
H.
