Been working on my En Provence mystery quilt. Almost done. It's been a big one to wrestle around under my sewing machine needle! QNS, I wanted to show you the back of it...
First, the quilting process. I need a shoulder massage now.

The back. QNS, recognize the fabric?

I don't see any safety pins. Do you baste it with thread?
Poor you! Yes, I'll bet you need a shoulder/back massage! It looks like you have a table or surface where a lot of the weight of it can rest though.

I took the pins out when I STID across in a 9 patch grid. Then I started outlining the stars. And I did a big cross hatch through all the purple 4 patches. That's it. Enough quilting.
Just put the binding on it...it made a nice huge throw.

Nicely done, SBG...your quilting is similar to mine, but I do like basting with Elmer's...no pins to put in or take out.
This is my current scrap project...these 9P's finish at 3"...I have all the diagonal strips sewn...this is just under half of the center piece. The 2 pieces of fabric on the edges are border fabric options.

Not sure, givio...but it's going to finish about 75" square, so more like a cuddle quilt or a coverlet...Thanks guys...

OK, I had no idea it would be that big! With about half of it pictured, and the 9-patches at 3" I guess my math was off. You must have more planned to put around it. :-)
I like all the browns in it.

Anyone use the spray glue for batting and then quilt. What size is the throat of your machine, SBG? Elna;s have a 16 inch throat...one baby lock has a long throat I think.
