Honchey, remember that Colorado is a pro at it, doing it for the sports minded people and might be able to help the ankle as well there with PT. That way, you could vacation there for Christmas, and get it taken card of by the doctors at Vail...its more than just inserting a cushion between knee cap and bone. Have your doctor talk to them and get a medical opinion on it. Explore how far they have come in the last few years, and the possibilities for you. Grandpa and the grand-kids could ski and go down the slopes there during the vacation. It might turn into an annual vacation for the family...the skiing part not the knee replacement!
The chicken soup sounds very good. I just boiled the white meat of three chickens and will try that.
DH is now on the trail of flour other than wheat; it seems the wheat was 'changed' by growers in 1990 to a higher producer, dwarf variety that is not so good for your system, having higher level of sugar and causes higher blood pressure readings. The suggestions are Spelt and oat flours.
Just ordered Deb Hunter's new Hunters point ruler from Stitch 'n Heaven Quilt shop in Texas. Or is that Deb Fields??? It makes the Hunter's Point quarter in mere minutes, 6 & 7 & 8 inches super quick. Dh is going to work on his again this winter. He is gone to town right now and its so peaceful here now. Sigh. All quiet and so lovely.

Then do not delay it, Honchey, for your sake. Did the doctor go over the procedure and tell you what the difference would be from the time before??? Unless you welcome the wheel chair, get your b__ moving onward to the healing process!! Please with cream and sugar??? We want your at our helm on QB.

Honchey--sorry to hear about your knee. Hope that it goes well.
I got good news/bad news today...the doctor's office called with MRI results and now he says he won't be doing surgery. Just more PT. I guess it's good because surgery means recovery, but I feel like it's bad because the PT hasn't been helping. It's funny b/c if I hadn't asked for the MRI he was all ready to go ahead and do surgery (which is why I told everyone I was having it)!
QNS--praying for you as you prepare for your surgery next week.
Dublb--your new house is going to be beautiful with all those flowers.

Maybe it's time to switch therapists??? Maybe they need to try a different method? Do they do hands on massage at all?
It's an early nite for me..goodnite all..sweet dreams.

Yes, my PT does hands on massage, manipulation, stretching and strengthening exercises. I was doing better and then hit a plateau and can't seem to get past it. Maybe now that I haven't gone for a couple weeks again things will be different.

So sorry to hear all of the health issues everyone is having. Not doing so well for DH & myself, chemo for him, and radiation for me, hope we can keep up for each other, one day we are up, next day done, not very good diaognose for him. Just have to try to keep positive for both of us. Finally able to do some sewing, posted my spike blocks for October, sent off my MQ block tuesday, hope she likes it. I'm really glad i worked on blocks ahead of time.
