I hope you can see the detail in this block, it has taken me all day to quilt it. I am taking lots of breaks and massaging the shoulder in between the quilting.

Wow, Mirab, that is awesome!!! And really cute!!!! I am so envious of your quilting--your stitches are so even and smooth, your curves aren't herky-jerky like mine are. You are amazing.

QE, looks like the weather is turning in our favor, they've cancelled the snow warning for Wed & Thurs. The shop is north near Lake Erie which is a real snow belt area. If we get an inch here, they get 10. Our bright orange van can plow through a lot but we're still cautious. We always tell our DH's "we'll call if we decide to stay overnight" and they're fine with that. MrJanRN always reminds me there's usually a Walmart nearby to buy clean undies. Will let you all know how it goes. I'm anxious to see his quilts.

Another collective sigh as we marvel at miracle mirabelle's quilting! Truly an inspiration.
Meanwhile back at the OK corral - it just finished snowing. Over an inch on the ground, but there are still beans in the field. We've waited because moisture tests have been running high and you get "docked"--money deducted for moisture levels above 13% which is ideal for storage. Yesterday when the combine was here beans were at 14% so let's get it done because we are tired of waiting. The harvester didn't complete the job last night so now the plants have a coating of snow on them. When the plants are wet combines can't harvest either corn or beans because the mechanisms to clog up on the machine. The pods can swell, crack open, and spill the beans onto the ground as well. So how much will we loose on the ground I don't know but the deer will have high protein feed to eat--yes they will find it.
Have a good FART, Jan--stay on the safe side while driving.
Found my camera battery charger so I can now take a pic of MB to zip off to Anael to help take her mind off her discomfort.
Busy week ahead so doubt if I will stop by often. Have a good one.

WOW Mirabelle, beautiful quilt and gorgeous quilting! Happy belated birthday........

Have a great trip Jeanie, hope I will be around when you're back on Thursday!

I'm not doing so well, running a fever again, if it gets higher I will have to be admitted again. So I hope I can stay home tonight!
Tomorrow they're going to do some tests to see what's wrong this time.

Believe me, I am NOT the class clown IRL!

MiraB ... So, MrMiraB can be the Hero Grandpa come Christmas!!
Here's my story ... when my husband's 3 nieces/nephews were little, one year for Christmas we gave them all musical toy instruments. hahahahaha!!!!!!!! They were wicked kids, so we figured it was a "perfect" gift for the parents!! Warped sense of humour, right?
Your quilting is really making those characters come to life! Pretty impressive as is, so can only imagine how incredible it is IRL. What batting did you use? And do you use pretty much the same in all your quilts?

JanRN ... gee thanks for sending that snow northwards, which means I might get it and yes that's what is in our forecast. I'm situated between three different weather patterns ... yours from Lake Erie/Buffalo, OKSGlad's as it comes in across Lake Huron and down ... then JanieW sometimes thinks there is need to share! Sometimes all miss me ... sometimes I get all at once and then UGH! Looking for your DJ fabric on this FART?

OKSGlad ... oh dear on the non-combined beans. Beans are done here, and some have had a good run at corn already. It's not so dry, but some with dryers just let them run to get it off. Deer and Canada Geese will be thankful at your cost. Hope you can slow down a bit this week and not make it all too busy!

JeanieG ... we'll all bask in the warmth of your beach holiday! A few pebbles of snow were on the ground this morning ... gone now! But soon enough we will have it, I'm sure.

Anael ... oh my dear, I am so sorry for you. My prayers and thoughts are with you. {{{HUGS}}}

Sat afternoon DH & I went ta several consignment shops & found 2 bar stools for the island in the kitchen. Then Sun we went ta Handcocks & bought a dropleaf craft table for my sewin' room. It's the perfect hight for a cuttin table.

All this talk of snow, this is what woke me this morning. Our first tropical downpour. The first photo you can just make out the hospital in the distance, but the second photo taken just a few minutes later and it is gone. The rain was coming down so heavy I could hardly hear the phone ringing, which was DS asking me to go around to his home and close his windows It has stopped now and the humidity level is around 90% yuk. Guess I will be hiding out in the sewing room with the aircon going today
