It should be the half way mark between 4 3/4 and 5...if your's doesn't have that mark you can cut it 5" and cut it down to 4 1/2" before sewing to squares.

A lot of us just upgrade it to 5", then you have a little leeway and can trim the hst up to 4.5"

I'm not a fan of red, white and blue, but I'm thinking a quilt in those colors with stars would be good for a Quilt of Valor. I have some I purchased from another QB member just for that reason. I still haven't decided totally what to use for fabric for this BOM. Decisions, decisions.

I think I've seen almost every color in the pictures that have been posted so far and have yet to see one I didn't like. Anything goes. Red, white and blue for a Quilt of Valor would be fabulous.

Thank you for the information, I was wondering the same question. Guess I didn't pay attention in math class or ... is it that I took the math class a half a century ago? Ha! Violet

Judy: Is your Stars BOTM one in which we are required to do a certain number of the same block and send them on to you for eventual disbursement? Or is it just your helping us make one to make a quilt with various star blocks.

Thank you.

Hi Claudia, We are doing these blocks for ourselves. We get to keep these and make what we want from them. Hope you join us and have a great time.
