Jates, sure is a cute little girl "announcing" the quilt in the picture! Must be your daughter... :)

I would love to see the quilt too, and to think we took a trip two years ago to Rhode Island and drove all around the New England states. I could have seen it then, but it wasn't on my radar, darn it all.

Yes, I surely thought trumpets would be blaring, a red carpet leading to Jane, and that I would have to wade through bus loads of Jane enthusiasts to get to her- but no. Just my daughter and me. My daughter has taken an interest in quilting. I gave her my old sewing machine when I upgraded last summer- maybe one day she'll make her own Jane!

The blue is the binding. I'll try to post a better picture of it. It's funny I never noticed it before either- of course I'm so far away from even thinking of bindings- unlike you all that are on week 45!!!

I hope you all can get to see Jane in person one day. Just be forewarned.....no red carpets, no angles singing, no trumpets or drum rolls, no patron saints of quilting- it's just Jane and your love of her! Patti, if you go you may want a stronger bribe for your DH- the Andes mints only worked on my daughter! ;)

I don't know how far it is, but when I would go the Vermont Quilt Festival, DH & boys went to the Ben & Jerrys factory! Not sure where the Bennington Museum is from there - but that might do it!

Oh, there is NO doubt that the Ben & Jerry's factory would do it! He would pack one of those large serving spoons, tie on his bib and chow down! LOL!!

I would love to see it sometime and since we love to tour the New England states...hopefully sometime we can. DH really doesn mind stopping to look at quilts...he's a pretty good guy :D:

Thanks all. I like both of your blocks too! I still can't wait to see both of yours put together! So cool that you are done Pat and you are all but done Wil. I'm just keeping up by the week now.

Its not a race Jan...I just had an opportunity to do quite a few blocks for a short period of time...so I dived into it. Keeping up by the week is actually the "plan" afterall :D:

(I can't wait to see all of these put together..we are gonna have some beauties!)
