Sheree, think you are going to be finished before me. I have done mine in Asian fabrics and I love it, this is just for us this one, its the first one I have managed to keep.

Here is week 10. I have decided not to do the Tri´s (not cheating) Just that the quilt version in the DJ User Manual is on point and doesn´t need any. What I will do is make the Tri´s plain so that I can make a nice scalloped border.
the one I am taling about is by Marcella Knudson, Waterloo, Iowa which is lovely, but thought I would add a twist to it.

Oooops just noticed I have not finished one of the blocks it needs little triangles sewn on, okay thats my job for tonight.

Okay, well I am going to make it on point similar to the one shown in the User Manual for DJ its the last one shown in the book by Marcella Knudson of Iowa. The background will be black but instead of the black plain border I am hoping to put black Tri´s instead of the patterend Tri´s and then make my scallops just in the plain Asian Fabric. I would like to make the Corner stones though properly and make something special for the signature one. Like your Shamrock I would perhaps make a Spanish Fan, What do you think, all input greatfully accepted. Those are just thoughts in my mind

I did a bit of cutting out today and did a mock up to show you what I plan, well more or less. These show up to week 8 and I intend to use the Tri´s that I have already made and incorporate them into the design, not going to let all that hard work go for nowt :-D Ran out of the black, but its a Kona so should be okay.
The corner stones will be I think larger, not quite sure how this will work yet but any suggestions would be appreciated. Its a bit pie in the sky.

Elle...its going to be GORGEOUS!!! You will have some excellent quilting areas by using just the plain tris (no, its NOT cheating...its just your design!) :D You might try laying it out in the DJ software, then click no the kite area...then under options, click on "size from quilt"...that should give you the correct dimensions to be able to make them.

I think a spanish fan would be lovely...something kind of similar to your original IRR??...Ooohhhh...pretty!
