When we cut the 9 -1/4" blocks for the outer part of the blocks are we cutting 9 1/4" strips?

QuiltingND...I cut 9 1/4 inch by WOF and then cut the 9 1/4 to make squares (and then made diagonal cut, which puts the bias in the 'next-to-be-sewn' seam) but I had lots of fabric... you could probably cut them this way ^ but you would have to calculate the height of the triangle and then you would have bias edges on the outside of your block...... cannot recommend that !

WHERE ARE THE GUMDROPS......I DO NOT SEE ANY GUMDROPS.....HUMM, CAN SMELL THEM

I would gladly postpone a clue one day to do that! Enjoy it--and know I'm envious.

Oh, Sweet Mystery, A Clue, A Clue
my ripper for a Clue!
The block shuffled this way and that,
rearranged as I might,
the mystery remains hidden from our view.
No solution in sight.

Perched on the railing of the caboose, counting the ties,
as the train travels onward to SATURDAY.
