Clap clap sunliten smiles. I ate all the gumdrops!
Ripped, let us know how it was.I'd love to see Wicked.
For most of you it's 2 more sleeps, but I don't sleep well at night, so it's probably 1 more sleep for me. then I can rest till January. the suspense is KILLING ME!!!!!

I'm going to give you a little something to rattle your cages. Did you think that Saturday clues will only be on assembly?
BWAAA HAA HAA my lovelies! You have some more blocks to work on. Oh dearie me, this is soooo much fun!

Poor Lynnie, she is just like everyone else on their first mystery quilt. Can't wait for the next clue, like a little one waiting for Santa. Someone have an extra chill pill for her? Or maybe we should chip in and buy her a bottle or two of that chocolate wine she was nipping at last week! We could have a moan, whine and wine party!
You know this is all said in jest, Lynnie, don't you? I certainly hope so!

Thank you all for the wonderful chuckles. The poetry is ... well, .... um.... interesting!
What I did was use my mat and my 6 x 24" ruler. I figured the star block was about as square as it could be, so used the ruler along one side of the inner square to make sure it was straight on the mat, then trimmed around the edges. I sometimes will mark the square on the mat with painter's tape if I'm not sure the center of the block is square, then use the long ruler to cut just inside the taped area. (That's probably as clear as mud.)

Belfry, pretty much exactly what I did. Wasn't going to spend all those $$$ for a ruler I may never use again. (But I do love this pattern and will more than likely do it again.) Or try this: Make a paper template. Mark an 8 inch square in the middle of a large sheet of paper. Measure 4-1/2'out from each side. this will be a 16-1/2'' square. Double check by cutting the 8'' portion out, and center the star in this hole in the template. This will give you the outer edges of your block. This, too, is probably as clear as Belfry's mud.

Judy, Judy, Judy, just finished off the last few sips of that chocolate wine and thought of all of you here.
Yes, I must admit, I was the foolish one who thought that saturday, which by the way, is technically tomorrow,
was the put it all together day. didn't know the clue was to ut more together. OOPS, lets hope i have enough of what I need to finish this monstrosity!!!. I'll be the one crying as everyone gets off the train, I'll miss you all so much. And especially you, Judy, our faithful leader of the swap.

Don't feel bad, Lynnie, I purposely didn't tell the group that specifically you were done making blocks -- I guess many made the assumption. All a part of the mystery, as you will see if you do another one of mine. I always try to arrange the clues to keep a little mystery until the end.
And now, goodnight, all. See you tomorrow.
