Yeah, need those dollars to buy fabric for me and food for DH. He doesn't have his priorities right.

Obsessed seems to have dropped off the thread after her move - hope everything is O.K. with her.

It is Tuesday morning here and it looks as though no-one else is jumping in to be first (and just in case Jup hasn't checked in her PH book yet) here is what my Slashed Album looks like.

I wonder how PH came up with some of her block names?

Beautiful block, Deecee. As usual, our blocks look completely different. It continues to amaze me how fabric colors and placement can change a block so much. Also, my machine blanket stitch on some of the pieces makes them look different. Here's my "Slashed Album."

Wow! Girls, your blocks are incredible! I looked at the back of the book (I do that when I read mysteries, too) to see what you were doing this week and the block looked involved. But then they all do until you get into them. Lovely work, both of you. Deecee, your intersections are spot-on! Some of mine turn out that way. . . . some not! Irene, I love the multi-color fabric on the sides. I think I said it before but, I am so excited to see pics of the completed quilts. If you are like me it might be awhile yet. But, someday!

Now that one really looks like an album that was slashed and turned. Beautiful!

Great block Irene. Love the motif in your centre block. Looks like a sun but also looks like a shield.

Sometimes you could think we are working from different books with some of the blocks we have done.

Will be interesting to see finished quilts.

Haha. Thanks, Deecee. It's actually an Indian basket in the center. So now that we're finished with the blocks, what's the next step? How are your going to finish yours? Are we the only two that actually finished by the "deadline on the calendar?"

Wahoo, Girls, for your block finish! I guess this step is kind of like 'Commencement'. Now the next step starts. Don't forget to keep us 'lagger-behinders' informed! Good for you for meeting the original deadline!

What can I say... I am dee-ee-eep into Nathaniel's portrait right now. I am hoping to get it to a resting point by this weekend. THEN... maybe I'll catch up with the blocks.

hugs, Jup

I suppose I can't blame you for being so deep into your portrait that you are not paying attention to the schedule you set up for us.  :-D :-D

By the way, I would like to see the shoe WIP also.

Great fabrics in your Prosperity and your HST's Judith. Nice work on both.

Both DH and I returned to work today (Monday here). :-( Mixed emotions. Glad to get back "amongst it" and earning money (I don't get paid leave) but would also love to have more time at home. Between DH in hospital, then recouperating at home and then his brothers funeral, I feel like I could do with a little "me" time.

Betty Gee - have you checked that letterbox yet

:?:
Jup, even I figured out it was the next block!
