when you print template A it needs to be changed to landscape and click the 100% button under preferences (or no scaling). for template B & C just click the 100% button (or no scaling) and then your test square should come out. This is what I did and they are perfect.
Hope this helps |
I went in and copy and pasted them to a different program and I finally got it to work.

I am new at paper piecing, the sizes of what you print out is that the size we are using or should it be bigger?
If it should be bigger, how can we enlarge it? |
Can we make the blocks bigger than the one inch.
I found away to enlarge it to 1 1/2". Would that be okay? |
So excited to start this...just the motivation I needed...Thanx SulaBug! And thanx pamesue...that worked out perfect!

I'm is a good crowd it looks like! This also is my first attempt at paper piecing.
I went through my 'stash' and found the fabric pieces - my luck was with me. Made sure they were washed and ironed. Printed the pattern. Read some of the suggested articles on paper piecing - am ready to go! I guess I was lucky as my test 1" sq came out perfect from printer. Hope my luck continues and Thank You for the opportunity to learn something new for the New Year |
Just so you know how I enlarged the templetes, I just went into the preview and I enlarged my templetes to 125%, for a larger square. That seems to work for me. I will take this to my quilting class and maybe some of the long time quilters can help me.

I used the same procedure as Candi and it worked for me, also.

I'm going to try to keep up with this in the coming year. I'm already doing one at my LQS, and my guild, so hopefully I haven't bitten off more than I can chew!! :-) I LOVE the church block, which is what encouraged me to join in the first place. Thanks!!

Here is a table that shows how to enlarge and reduce blocks to different sizes, works great for PP as long as all your templates are enlarged or reduced by the same percentage..I sound like a broken record, http://www.thequiltedsnail.com/scale.html |
