I am so humbled...y'all make me feel so good! I see what you mean, Patrice, thank you! I fixed a couple of the glaring mixups (yes, I learned way many more words, Yvonne  ) but for the most part I'm well pleased with it and I'm going to quilt it to a teal color to pull all the colors out to the brightest. I've had it hanging on the block planner by my bed since I did it and I love it.

I am proud of my self in not giving up before I could try it. I'm going to have to make myself pp every week or so to keep it fresh in my mind. We maybe should do one in the BOM more often (I can't believe I said that!!!!!)

Here is my version of Tim's Star. I sewed it to the back of a denim shirt. Finished 3 more for my sister's. Hope they like it as well as I do!
Annemarie--I got my color inspiration from your star. thanks.

What a clever idea. It looks great on the back of that shirt.

Last week as I was sewing the binding on the wall hanging I made out of Tim's star I was thinking how it was too bad that so few of us made that star. I've been gone for a few days & looks like others have accepted Tim's challenge:
Sharon - your star is wonderful. The sparkles are so fitting. Now do another paperpieced something - Quick! pp really grows on you.
Mooreland (sorry I don't know your 1st. name) - your star is stunning too! What a great idea to applique it to something lots of people will see. Thanks for the idea.
Tim - as you may know, I love stars & I love paperpiecing. I just ordered 50 Fabulous Paper Pieced Stars by Carol Doak from Amazon - $12.22 with shipping! Thanks for the tip.

Have a great week everyone.

Oh no! Wait till you see the stars and then find out she designed the stars so all 1/8 stars are interchangable. I won't bore you with the numbers but it's in the millions of combinations.

My big drawback with this star is that I don't have a printer right now. Looking at the recent posts, I decided I can draft my own to be close to that design. Would that be okay with everyone, and can I still call it a Tim BOM?

I'll take templates if you have em. I just bought a printer and am using it for the first time today.
