I apologize - I'm new on here. I downloaded the star, but only got the picture. No paper piecing pattern. What did I do wrong? :( [We don't own the earth, we only borrow it from our children.]

Welcome. Easy to confuse. There are two threads for each Block of the Month. One has pictures, one has instructions. You just need to go back to the same area and find the instruction one. To save you time, I am posting it for you. Click on this: http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/1437.page Good luck, tim in san jose |

I use the cheapest paper I can find! It tears off easier too! Just my 2 cents worth...

Oh Wow! That is soooo cool! Good ob. I confess the paper peicing concept is a bit confusing to me. But I will eventually get around to trying it.

tim Its 7 3/4" square. I'm going to sandwich it & do a little machine quilting in the border & hang it on the wall. Have you designed other paper piecing patterns for me to try? |

The foundations were easy. The trickiest part was putting the foundations together to match the seams up. I basted before sewing to align the best I could. |

These quilts blocks are absolutly beautiful. If only I was so talented. Someday I am going to do one with paper piecing. Just haven't decided the colors to you . I love both of these.

Wow... it's been a long time!

I still have mine hanging in my hallway. It was one of my first pp'd projects & I'm still very proud of it. I wonder what Tim is up to today???

Hi AnneMarie and thimblebug,
Last year was a period of not much going on in the quilting room. Designing and building robotics systems to make money instead. I did go to a Ricky Tims Seminar last spring though. Pretty cool. Anyhow, I am working on stuff now in the project room, only have about 12 unfinished quilts. I went to Paduka last fall with a friend and saw the quilting museum. I liked but I prefer the PanPacific Show here in Santa Clara every fall. So my quilting is going in a very SW USA direction. Lots of earth tone, Pueblo Indian Designs, bright natural accents. Still making BIG quilts. And every night, I fall asleep under one of mine I made during all my trips to Germany. I hope everyone is well in your lives. I still write Patrice occasionally, she seems very busy too. Take care, tim |
