What happened to the "letters" that have been posted in the past? I so loved reading them. Guess I'll have to break down and buy the book.
Hi Betty, The letters that I add are written by the author Laurie Arron Hird and are not in the book. I have her permission to post them here on the QB. Laurie is researching the geneology of the children and then writing a follow-up letter of them. H. |

It's a dark starry sky over "Alabama" (some bling in that black) ... while the sun shines in the orchard to ripen those last green ones in the "Apple Tree"
I'm always curious ... is there any significance to this block's design and the state? |
Your fuzzy cutting is great QuiltE! I love the starry sky and your apple tree looks delicious!
|
Well done, QuiltE. I fail to recognize any one piece of fabric but your job on the blocks are wonderful!!

Anael .. thank you!
QNSue ... ahem!!! ... the tree trunk!! :D |
Love them, QE, especially the starry Alabama. Great job on both.
I wonder about the names of quilt blocks--maybe someone from Alabama "invented" that block? The names just don't always conjure up an image of what I'm thinking. |
