Hi everyone, had my eye surgery last Monday, the doctor told me it might be a couple of weeks before I can see good. Thank qoodness for my children. Today Daughter took me to get groceries this morning. After going out there is no way I can drive yet. My sight is like looking through a fog, it is much better today than it was tuesday . Lots, and lots of eye drops, some I get the first time and sometimes I end up washing my face with them. I can see some things that look more colorful. I have 2 plants that I thought were the same color of blooms, but yesterday I could see that one is more pinkish instead of red. My glass really don't do me much good now, but that is to be expected. Thank you everyone for you well wishes for me. Hopefully I can get back to sewing.

Thank you, GrannyQ, for letting us know how you are doing. Looking forward to seeing more green blocks in the future posted here. I am driving short distances only, and caring for DH.

Doing some housework in my 'spare' time. Baby steps.

So sorry about your DH QNS! Hope everything turns itself around soon. GrannyQ - hang in there, I'm sure your vision will improve. I think sometimes these things take time.

GrannyQ I hope you see better and better with each new day.

QNS, sorry hubby is still sick. Hope they make a good decision for him and get him feeling better soon. It's great you have family to come and help you.

I am excited. I joined a guild yesterday. The one in Brownwood. An hour drive is worth it.

Good for you Dublb. Enjoy your quilting guild.

Quilter 65 drove me to DM yesterday, and they took four samples yesterday to test for skin cancer and made an appointment for April. If any test positive, then we will be going back to have the whole thing removed. We (Quilter 65, Cousin Mary and I) did a stop at Red Lobster and at Quilt Block. I bought Laura A. Hird's book the Bible. And Better Homes and Garden top quilt shops of the year magazine.

Cousin Mary's husband, Robert took DH for his appointment. Disappointing news, he has to wear the catheter longer until the 7th of November...and let the 'miracle' pills work their magic according to the specialist who explained everything to him. Better than ending up in the emergency room.

Robert and Mary have returned to their home to get caught up there; hoping they can come back soon. Enjoyed their visit and appreciated their help.

The wooden Grace Frame Z44 is put together. Dh refashioned the clog wheels and it seems to work. Off to do a little house work and maybe in the QR a while. Have a good week.

Sew glad to hear you active in the quiltroom again QNS...What a treat to have some company, too. Hope positive news comes from test results.

I enjoy the contacts I have made in my guild, dublb...Enjoy

Hopefully GrannyQ, you will be back in your sewing space, too.

I'm supposed to be paying bills...and what's for dinner?

My progress...house quilt is starting to come together...then detoured as I need to destash...cleaned out books and magazines yesterday..eliminated a small bookcase....so cut my library in half. Then did some fabric reorganization. Still chaos in some spots, but it's coming..

okay back to work!

Wow, I'm impressed with the progress you all are making. Glad you found a guild, Bev. It's so much fun to meet and work with other quilters. QNS, you'll soon be saving money on longarming, it sounds like. I am buying a small Grace starter frame to put my Juki on. It only has a 9" throat space, but it will still be better to get my charity quilts done faster with a frame. I've done a little longarming on friends' machines, so I think I'll be okay.

Is there any one else interested in doing Laura Aaron Hird's fourth book: The Bible? I am going to try it, even if it is a solo flight. Has anyone started a group for that quilt? It is 6 inch finished blocks and looks very similar to what we have done on three trails (or less) together. I did not want too until I seen the book and it is doable, I think.
