Ditto Jeanie's message Nina!! :)

Jan, I feel so sorry for you.. I've been lucky so far not getting Shingles., both sisters have had it... I don't think I want anything else on my plate right now....PT has helped a bit..Tendon areas are sore to touch but generally getting better..Ice, foot alphabete's & circles to stretch.. and when I say ICE it means little paper cups filled with water, frozen then tear away some paper and then rub the ice on the affected area without stopping movement so the ice melts and literally almost freezing your foot to the bone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..after you stop the blood rushes into the area flushing out all the bad stuff, I guess it makes sense in a way..
Back to the sewing room after I get off here..I'll be playing with the Majestic Mountain squares and sort more little pieces. I'm seriously thinking about getting the Big Go...I can sit working with it cutting into strips & squares..I'm hoping it will go down in price a bit or maybe look for sale .. Have you noticed that Accuquilt won't allow a discount of more than 15% on any of their products,,even to retailers...?
I need to get off..See ya later H.

Sorry about the shingles, Jan. I just turned 60 and you made me want a shingles vaccine. Funny that no dr. has ever offered it to me. I did have measles and chicken pox as a kid, does that make me immune to shingles or more likely to get them?

QNS, very pretty quilts. Wow that's a lot of work in a short period of time. Am I understanding right that your friend pieced them and you quilted them for her? That was good teamwork!

Hubby felt better today and even said he wanted to go out to breakfast! So we went. He still has a lot of confusion, but slowly his mind seems to be clearing up.

Honchey, I have been disappointed in the prices of the accuquilt stuff and never being able to get it on sale. I wish I had bought a different system.

I cut and pressed, BF sewed the pieces together to suit her because it was her DGD's quilt. The LA quilting was done by Ann Wheeler who is between Queen City and Green Top on Highway 63. I sewed the binding on the back and she turned it to the front except for the purple one....I did all the binding work on that one. It was all a very good time because she made it back home safely.

Honchey, hope you get to feeling better quickly. And JanRN, too.

We both napped this morning and more company coming in this afternoon for a short visit. Another quilter...Ann Wheeler and her husband, Ben... Who runs the Quilt Shop and long arm business. He canns the best sauerkraut. He is also a preacher with a big sense of humor.

For the real quilt making look at Quilter's 65 site on pictures at: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...d-t279412.html

Wow. Double Wow on that quilt.

That is a gorgeous quilt!

Jan - both my hubby and I got the Shingles Vaccine after we turned 65, when Medicare paid for it. You can just walk into a pharmacy and get the shot. I had an aunt that got Shingles and it was a very painful process for her. I knew I did not want it!

QNS - your friends quilts turned out nicely. How fun you have someone to sew with.

It has been a very dreary day here - foggy and overcast all day. I do much better when I wake up to sunshine! This is typical June weather in Southern Califiornia. We call it "June Gloom". I just like to curl up with a book on these days!

Yeah, JeanieG, that's what I did today..curl up with a book and took naps.

I just realized that I haven't posted here in a few days. I guess I have just been lurking. LOL
I got a cut on my hand when we got here to Brady on Fri. How it happened is hard to explain. Suffice it to say when your 100 lb dog wets in the dinning room take off your lanyard ,w/embroidery scissors, before ya try to drag her back in there for some discipline. OH & don't pick up the newspaper that ya are gonna shake at her for the above discipline till ya get into the dinning room. Sigh she is house broken when we got her & in all of the 6 years we have had her she has never wet in the house. I did sulk a bit on Friday as I thought that I couldn't do any thing. Yesterday I decided that I could do some stuff but not others. ( I can't wash dishes. :) ) I do have 2 butterfly's on the 1/2" cut & it is doing better.

Good morning everyone... been to Sunday School and back now. Bev, sorry about the scissor mishap. We have a big dog too and a couple of times he has given me a black eye while we were playing. He has a very hard head! It was hard to explain to friends that NO, hubby does not beat me-- it was the dog! LOL.

Well, it's about time to start tackling those hard blocks we have this week. I have been working on my embroidery blocks for my embroidery quilt-- stitched two last night! Eight down, 12 to go.

On today's plate is a quilt top that I must get sandwiched and start quilting for my son's anniversary present. Actually it's a very late wedding gift! Gotta have that done this week so I can bring it to them next weekend. I have no clue how to quilt it, at this point.

Hope you all have a nice Sunday.

I have one more long row to sew on my Bonnie Hunter Allietare (last year's mystery quilt) and it will be a flimsy. This is the slowest I have been in getting one put together. I now have 3 of her mystery quilts to quilt and 1 in progress. I have used the FW 30's quilt as a leader/ender project while I've been putting together Allietare.

I've been watching the horrific news coming out on the Florida shootings. OMG this is so awful. My prayers are with those involved.

I hope you all have a great day.
