Yes Anael it is, as she is so far away from me she is keeping me up to date with the progress via her blog. I love the cabled feathers, can't wait to see what she does in the blocks, this is so exciting.

DS was here and showed me how to do a link so happy days...

Anael 04-05-2013 02:39 AM

Those cabled feathers are lovely, I think I have the same stencil. It's fun to be able to watch what she's doing like this!

mirabelle 04-05-2013 03:06 AM

I must look into getting some quilting stencils, would you believe I don't own one.

I am off to bed, had a busy 2 days with DD and I really really miss my own bed

Goodnight

Anael 04-05-2013 03:12 AM

LOL I always miss my own bed when I'm away :) Sleep well mirabelle!

Lots of action here...Anael, wonderful picture with your grandson. Mirabelle, beautiful feathers on your PC. OksewGlad, great layout of the PC blocks. Hope Dublb gets her MB today.

All quiet in the fowl lot last night. We pulled the guineas from their run and put them into the chicken house where they were safer...hopefully, the last six will survive there. On to more Pansy passion blocks today...in the course of things....after a trip to K. for cat food...baby chicks...and maybe ducks.

Honchey no need to stop and turn at Chicago...we are about eight hours away...just bring JanRN and everyone else with you for true 'country' living here...all the fresh eggs you can eat. LOL!!:D

Anael--great feathers! How exciting that you got to hold Bram, that picture is precious.

Mirabelle--that's fun to see a sneak peek of your quilt. I have been meaning to ask, what is the name of the block you used for your BB? My friend saw it and would like to use it as a substitute block for her PC quilt.

Do any of you get the magazine called "Quilt"? A customer came in to the shop yesterday asking for a pattern from the Apr/May 2012 issue...so I had to come home and see what it looked like (http://www.quiltmag.com/resources/la...rn-correction/). Anyways my son loves it and would like this quilt, so I am looking for the issue or someone who can send me just the "Labyrinth Walk” pattern from it. I did find the magazine, but it is $6.95 and shipping is $6.50!! I just can't justify unless I get desperate. :)

Maybe OK can work her magic on EQ and figure out the blocks? ;) (No rush on this!!! It will be a while before I would start. You can always say no too! :) )This link shows each of the blocks: http://store.quiltersqtrs.com/stores...&Item_ID=21122

Anael, What a great photo of you & Bram...The photo captures all the love!!!!. great job on the FMQ feathers...

Thanks for your approval of my MB...

Carriem, I might have that issue...have to check the "pile" out... I remember seeing that pattern...

Mirabelle...You've been "published"...How great is that to see your quilt like that!!!!

Bev, I really, really hope your MB gets to you today...

Kids are coming over for dinner tonite so off to the store for some chicken cutlets... I'll make extra so I can parmigiana them for another meal...

chin kept me up all nite...but I'm not tired...Maybe start another MB inbetween ????

Thanks for the comments on the layout--I've always liked on point layouts--It adds a richer look to a quilt IMHO. Now that I have the layout I'm inspired to get back to this--looking for the time now!
Snow's melting here and lots of mud. Bright spot is maybe spring is coming. Could be 55 here today so shut off the furnace and opened windows to let fresh air in! Next project is outdoors--neglected yard and garden work as well as fieldwork to think about.
Jan I have such a tough time getting blocks to come out 12 1/2". No problem with 2 or 3 inchers. Guess I know which size I need to work at. Looking at DD's MB to me I marvel at how perfect her seam allowances are!
Anael--the look on your face-priceless. Oma's on Cloud 9. I envy your ability to FMQ the way you do.
Have the links up in tabs. Going to take a look m-belle and carrie and then get to work. Have canning meat thawing to process today and tomorrow--fresh stew in the making!

OK..I too like in point settings. That's how I'll set the FWS when I get to it. Ahhh...spring! Such a busy time when everything comes back to life in the northern latitudes. I'm using KT fabrics from the same line but in the rust colors for the Jamestown I'm working on.
Mirabelle...how exciting to be able to see daily progress on your quilt. Did you raid the stash again?
QNS...sorry about the guineas. When is the celebration going to happen? I thought it was earlier this week. Like the pansy blocks.
Carrie...you are very disclined to bring home more money than fabric when you're able to play with it like you do.
Jan...here I thought QuiltE was going to see your Sweetie IRL! What a treat that would have been! At least your DH is going to the dentist. My DH refuses even though some filings have fallen out.
Anael....such a precious picture! And your feathers are beautiful! The stitch regulator helps doesn't it. Still on my list of want toos.
Honchey...glad you're not inhibited by your bruised chin and you can be out and about. You have a week before leaving to Delaware. How many MB's will you have done by then?
My LQS announced yesterday that if we bring in a finished quilt top before April 14' they will give backing for free. I have quite a bit for backings except for the Lone Star so...it has floated to the top of the pile. I have the star all pieced and some of the setting blocks done but still have to figure just how to square it out. It would be a major accomplishment to get that quilt finished!

GG, I wish my LQS announced something like that. I have some finished tops laying around waiting to be quilted, no backing or batting yet! You can square it after quilting, can't you? I would do that!

Honchey, glad you're walking again! I hope you will get well soon.
