What hand applique method are you using?

I'm lazy, can't wait to sew, I make plastic templates and needle turn.

Freezer paper works great, I just donn't have patience for all the prep.

Raw edge machine is great if you want to get done quickly. See my quilt in photos (my design I love oriental) that quilt was all raw edge.

If *I* can do it Carsey...I know that *you* can. We're all in this together. What is nice is that there are so many different ways to do applique that it really makes it a doable project. The center is 17" which gives you a nice area to work in (nothing REALLY small) and to start it out. The instructions say to cut it 20" so you have plenty of 'wiggle' room and not have to worry about running out of room.

It's officially official. Finished my first leaf on the center square (January BOM). Yes, I'm way behind but now that I've started I won't let myself stop until I finish it. I also dug in my heels and decided to do needle turn --- which will take me even longer. Oh well, I'm not in a hurry.

oh Jeesh! I just discovered that I've been appliqueing on the back of the fabric. On the other hand, I guess that if *I* just discovered it nobody else really notice. So I just have to remember now that all applique HAS to be done on the back of the fabric. LOL Time for me to get to bed.
