The pattern is traced on the background and on another square of colored fabric. You place the colored fabric on the background, aligning the traced pattern. You then begin to cut away the top block &needle turn the fabric to match the background. It's fun,but time consuming. Well, the postman didn't bless me with my fabric order today...so maybe tomorrow.....I'm not holding my breath though!! LOL

I chose my background today. It will be a plain cream cotton. Not sure what technique I'll use. I wanted to get away of machine applique because it is what I always do. I haven't done hand applique other than samples when I took a couple of classes here and there. I don't know which method will be easier to start.
What hand applique method are you using? |
