Thanks for doing this for us. |
Beautiful quilts. I'm way behind although I do have the 9 patches done, and have printed out the instructions for when I have time to do them. Thanks for hosting this mystery, Judy.

Thanks so much Judy, I am looking forward to your next train ride. I am going to have to wait to finish since I left my baggie of pieces cut at home, but hubby mailed them to me, I should get them by early next week... But My Black scrappy is here, I just think I need to buy my A & B fabrics so I can finish one of these!
Have fun on your vacation, I will be wondering where the train is going to take us next time! |
The quilts are each unique and beautiful! My company has gone, and today is a sew and relax day. I'm working on last week's clue, and can't wait to get back to sewing. Just had to check in to see the final clue.
Again, thank you Judy for the time you've spent. Thank you belfrybat for letting me know of this site and this mystery train ride. This quilting board is a great site, and I'm hooked! Back to stitching... Tracy. |
Oh dear, I'm going to have to sew more of those little bitty triangles together to finish the stars on the final strip. Lol. Thought I had everything covered with getting them done on the sashing. At least there should be plenty of them.

I am so impressed with everyone's quilt top so far! I had thought about doing a black and white too, I have collected that as well. I also thought about a patriotic with the stars. So many ideas!!
Then again, I LOVED the flower garden one too. lol. Thanks again Judy, I can't wait till Feb now!! |
Judy,
Thank you sooo much for such a terrific pattern! I have lots of variations planned. Now, if I can only figure out how to get a picture taken so I can post mine with the others. My golden-oldy cell phone doesn't take pictures and I don't have a camera. :-) I'm looking forward to a lovely afternoon finishing this up. One quick question - do you use a walking foot when doing the serpentine stitch? It never occurred to me to do anything beyond a straight stitch. |
Just beautiful. I want to get the edge pieces on now so I can get it quilted up. I love this pattern. I can see a controled one coming up in my near future.
Thank you so much for the pattern. |
Oh no, I did like Carrot and now I will have to make up some more geese. The material does not match my stars. Sure glad I cut up enough so that I can just change them out so that they match. Yep I decided on my A and B. My B is gray and my stars are different colors. will post picture when I finish sewing them together.

sewplease, yes, I use a walking foot. And the serpentine stitch allows for a bit of error - I use a 3mm width so it isn't too wide, and about the same length. And glad you liked the pattern of the mystery.
Someone asked about different sizes of blocks. Sulabug used her 4" blocks -- she cut the squares for the flying geese at 2-1/4" square and the rectangle connecting sections at 4" x 11". Those who want to use 5" blocks, the geese squares would be 2-3/4" square and the rectangles 5" x 14" |
