catch up wk. 3. My seam ripper is now my best friend after the Kansas Troubles. What a difference those 1/4" seams make - even if off by a hair! :)

Fun blocks everyone.... more time in the sewing room with the fan blowing on me! Over 30*C again today but they're forecasting rain for the weekend... hard to know what to be thankful for! Love them thimblebug!! Once in the quilt you won't notice :) But I have to admit, I've beaten some blocks into submission too :D :D

Wk. 4... Gotta get used to the paper piecing doing a reverse image block.

Ticked at myself today.... working on the Tumbling Blocks I decided to do it by English Paper Piecing..... as I'm attaching the units together I realize it's way too big.... YUP..... that little template includes the seam allowance & I should have eliminated it.... oh well.... maybe a chance for a design challenge...... I'm going to wait until I have the blocks around that one completed & then see what it looks like if I applique the shape out into the sashings.... or at least that's my thought at the moment. Loved the last block I just did....hehehe.... think it's supposed to be the signature place.... oh well..... plugging along but have my little grand doggie on my lap most of the time so not on the autobahn!

Nice work, Auntjo. I'm taking a break from Sylvia to sew with 2.5 inch candy pieces that i received in a birthday swap here on the board. I'll be back soon.

Yes...I was going to do something "artsy" with my oversize tumblers but decided this was a better idea. I'll use the other sections on the back some place.

Lost Post? Not that I am anywhere near caught up or should even ask.....but did I miss the next assignment post? The last one I see is #518. Just trying to write down on Calendar so if I ever get to work on these again I have order.

Hello, again, everyone....I am back in the QR, able to see better some days than others, but I am still quilting away one day at a time...and not blind, thank goodness! I think, giquilt, I have copied all the assignments, if you need a copy...I reviewed everything from thirty to sixty...will try to get some blocks done.

Working on teh TW and a new "I SPY" quilt for a friend's two year old grandson, and a couple of wall hangings....called "Mama and her kittens" for a couple of ladies who trap and rescue kittens from Thunderhead Lake here. They recently gave me three kittens to add to my eight adopted cats.

Here are my blocks for this week, now to head to the sewing room and get the next 8 made:thumbup:
