Wow wump, those are beautiful and such lovely fabrics!!

Wump, those are just great, you have done a fine job, don't give up on pp yet, practice makes perfect ( most times anyway).

Wump, I do love your blocks you have made. They are going to look very nice in your quilt.

I get to the point of re-doing and grow very weary of the whole thing...and either accept or discard the block! Three or four times ripping is my quota of the day....and in pp, it might be less! And I have never pressed clothes for anyone in the family after pressing DH Air Force uniform in early years of marriage...I bought drip dry only!

What a wonderful selection of blocks Wump, I love your pinks and blues, but that mottled pink really has my attention, love it:thumbup: look forward to seeing more of your blocks

Wump, for a lurker you do beautiful work. Your blocks are great and the pink and blue will be a great quilt! Congrats on the posting. Everyone enjoys pics.

Thanks everyone for all the nice compliments. I have cut out everything that can be and put in sandwich bags. Using the left overs from cutting for the paper piecing. Looks like I'm in this to stay.

QNS I think my ripper likes my company.

Ohhhh MamaHen can't give up on the pp have too many Judy Niemeyer patterns. Those seams are so frustrating:o

March Blocks-Week 1-have not trimmed

??? is anyone going ahead and putting sashing on blocks as they go along? I read on someone's DJ that they put sashing as they go. I have not put any on my DJ or SB but when I think about the end I wonder if I should. Might help if a block is a little short

opinions please

QuiltingNinaSue 03-09-2014 06:31 AM

giquilt, lovely job. DJ instructions say to add a slashing around it if it is short...to make the block the size you are using.

I had thought about adding sashing as I went, but I am using scraps (blues/browns/yellow/beige) so think I'll wait until I have all the blocks done and hopefully come up with a fabric then that will compliment them.
