Quilt Along January 2013
#401
I didn't get in on this one, and I'm in the middle of a king size quit and have a small one to do for a friends wedding, so too busy right ow, but hope to do the one in September. If I don't have the skills for some of the blocks, I will have to substitute. ;-) I've never tried paper piecing or curves.

I plan to do the whole sequence again when the nasty tendonitis in my left hand is better. Right now, I can sew a bit but I really can't do a lot with a ruler and a rotary cutter. I explained to the hand specialist, that I saw today, that quilting contributes to my mental health. He gets it. I love watching everyone's quilts grow and thank you all for sharing.
Quilting is also my mental health outlet. Still caring for DH almost full time but he's slowly getting better so I'm hopeful to get some sewing done this weekend. I have a t-shirt quilt I need to finish by the end of April and a fan quilt to make for DGD's graduation.
Feel better !!!

Everyones blocks are really looking great. I had so much going on this last little bit that I haven't participated, but I have lurked. My DSister is doing it, and watching how well she does makes me just giddy with excitement. Lora, I want to see more!!

Perfect!! Thank you for the Wyoming Valley Block, I love it and was going to do it for an extra block if I needed one. I'm really going to miss this quilt along every week, but I'll have lots of time to get it all put together and completed..This has been such a fun project, thank you so much Wyldwytch, you did a fabulous job!!

Got the octagon and twist finished. Did this block contain what you guys refer to as Y-seams? Yikes. Otherwise - the block assembly was very quick. The Wyoming Valley block looks pretty challenging to this newbie quilter. Wyldwtch - thanks for hosting the quilt-along. I think you have done a fabulous job. One thing that helped me the most was 'pinning' each quilt pattern instruction to a shared quilting Pinterest board. Maybe for the next quilt-along (if you are on Pinterest) - all the patterns could be posted there? Then post a link to the board in the thread. Not sure that would work unless everyone following along is on Pinterest. It is sometimes hard for me to go back through all the posts to find a pattern.

Here is my Chinese Puzzle. As you can see I had a design opportunity with it. I had already recut those little triangles, so I had a decision to make. Rip out, recut and resew or keep my sanity. I opted for sanity, since I may need it later.
