Welcome shadoh and marne to our group. I'm looking forward to seeing your SYE blocks! It does not matter when you get them done, just post to the corresponding month when you finish.

Oh my, more eye candy today. Love all the blocks being posted! WOW!!!!

You do a lot of embroidered blocks, aren't they stiff after embroidery? That's what holding me back from doing a quilt with embroidery.
Anael I can't find a pic of the quilt with those designs but this quilt was made with another set very similar, they are so cute and make great charity quilts for the children's ward at our big hospital. I have made a few now, just mix up the animals

He just wanted to be in the picture
The quilt is lovely! I thought it was full embroidery, that's why I asked about stiffness but with applique it's not. So another quilt on my bucket list

Cindy, your pups are so cute! And the quilt is beautiful! I just got back from vacation and plan to do my practice paper piecing that QuiltE recommended and i have been putting off! But this weekend is all about practicing on the easy patterns first. I forget who mentioned doing a SYE practice block before you do your main fabrics...this may be a good idea for me...so thank you for the suggestion. I think I will use left over Christmas fabrics from my last project...can use them for gifts some how.

Cindy, your quilt is amazing! I am so envious of anyone who does applique! That is just so hard for me as my arthritic fingers really ache when I do hand work. Yes, your quilter did a wonderful job!

    Cindy, your quilt is gorgeous!

Akweiland, good luck on practicing. PP is not hard once you get the hang of it.

Mirabelle, what is the design for your embroidered/applique animal quilt. I love yours you did a terrific job on it. I have made many machine embroidered quilts and so far non of them have been stiff. The stiffness may be caused by the stabilizer you are using, not sure who was concerned about the stiffness of embroidered quilts but they should not turn out that way.
    I don't know how to do that.....YET!

Gramquilter, I was concerned. But I thought it was full embroidery and it isn't. I know the Embroidery Library designs (non applique) are beautiful but quite dense so I would not use those I guess. I searched my files and found some nice applique designs

Anael, I have used designs from OESD, Loralie, Anita Goodesign, Dakota Collectibles, and Embroidery Library Designs on my quilts not applique but machine embroidery some very dense and they are not stiff. I am working on a Loralie embroidery quilt now and the blocks are not stiff.

Everyone is showing their lastest quilts, so I thought I would too. I made this for my brother. I kept hearing the song Fishing in the Dark while I was working on it.

So much more 'eye' candy to see. Top of the line everyone of them. It is so nice to sit here out of the heat, and view the lovely quilts again and again. Thank you one and all.

Mirabelle, your quilts are always wonderful to see, and now we had a 'peek' at Mr.M., too. Cute.

CindyA, those basset hounds are delightful. They have such an adorable expression to their faces, it brings a smile again and again. Their image would make a perfect quilt! Country bride was well done by you and by the quilter. AS your others were as well.

Gramquilter2, loved your pictures of your quilts, outstanding job.

Dungeonquilter, fishing in the dark is a great quilt for a man!

Yeah, for the fishing quilts and mine failed to load..back to see what the problem is, maybe later...I can post.

They are stack & whack stars. This is my third stars, and I am planning a couple more. I had to add to each of the rows and add and extra row to the pattern to get the size I wanted. The borders kept growing as well. I think it ended up about 120x120.
