QuiltingNinaSue and JeanieG - thank you!! The blocks are beautiful, I love them. I downloaded the patterns. Currently I'm working on the Dear Jane thread (and a little behind) and am considering Affairs of the Heart (AOTH), I bought the book and it's a beautiful quilt, also. So many projects, so little time.

Copied patterns and am going to try this. Like paper piecing but never tried a BOM before. Now to shop my stash and find fabrics, about how much of each will be needed?

I have downloaded, but want to try and be coordinating in this one. I did the 50 fabulous PP stars, and it was all scrappy. So I'd like this one to be different. Guess I have to go shopping in my stash, then on to the stores. Katie

Just starting out at trying my hand at quilting, generally I am a knitter. Not going to be able to start on the 3rd, have to dig through storage for my machine, and not sure about what fabric to use, have some on order and will have to dig through my stash.

Welcome to all the newcomers for our BOM! We are please to have you join us old-timers (not in age necessarily )! We have done several quilts together already, so this is our latest adventure!

Welcome!!! Spikers, one and all!!
I'm not going to name everyone, one by one ... for fear I miss someone.
We're going to have a lot of FUN as we work our way thru these fancy hexies!

LisaLaMadrid ... Welcome to the QB ... and SYE! ... Don't worry about not starting on the 3rd. I'll be with you, and starting a little later, because of other commitments! While the goal is to do two blocks per month, some will work ahead, and some will follow in their path. And soon, you'll get caught up in the excitement and be moving up in the pack!

For amount of fabric, some of us are figuring 2 yards for background. I got 12 or so FQs and am sure that will be more than enough since there are only 12 blocks.

I have 7 different packages of fabric from http://www.RainbowFabrics.com each package of Rainbow colors are equal to 3 yards. Its very hard to decide which one to use. I have been saving them for this moment. But the decision is hard. Anyone have advise on the best one??
