We use Charmin, not the linty one, I noticed when they "improved" it. It was an inch or more shorter and yes roll is bigger. I have noticed Oreo original cookies are thinner and smaller in original package it is very easy because the package is baggy. I have noticed some others that are smaller, same package probably all of them cost more.
My big gripe is leave them all the same size and just raise the price. They (companies) think we are too stupid to notice, very insulting. I am buying more generic products, same size and taste good.

The change that most annoyed me was the big indentation in the bottom of salad dressing 'quart' jars. Of course, we could mention the weight of coffee cans.

leonf- as usual you are a hoot!

An FYI about generic brand foods: My sister makes a certain cake that calls for Pistachio pudding. One time she made the cake and it was a flop! She couldn't figure out why but then realized she bought the generic brand of pudding instead of the name brand by mistake.
Sometimes it does matter, but lots of times not.

When I was a kid, the tuna fish was 7 oz. Now it is 5 or 4.5 in the same sized can. And that half gallon of ice cream is not a half gallon either. It's very irritating.
