When are son married, the priest referred to his bride as the "rib". Obviously referring to Adam and Eve. When I married my current husband I made sure that word was not part of the vows..lol

It was his rib..lol and she was granted that in the divorce.

I think my favorite part about that article was the face cream and hair rollers. Where was the mandatory flannel gown?

Oh my goodness. This book has to be one of the most chauvinistic books ever written. I think it would be interesting to hear what Ellen Degeneris would say about it!!

A woman wrote it, back then women were expected to be a little more docile than they are today.

I don't expect Ellen to have to much to say unless its her having to wear the cold cream..lol

me too, that way, we can make sure everyone gets what ever they need, don't you sorta watch 'the line' to be sure everyone finds what they need, and say, 'the butter is..., the tea is....etc.i think that is being a 'good hostess'
