1. I have one sister and one brother, but they're a lot older than me, so I grew up like an only child. Lived in the country with no close neighbors, so had to learn how to entertain myself, and today I really like to be by myself.
2. When I was a kid, I used to bite my toenails.
3. Yes, I used to be a lot thinner and more limber then too.
4. I've never been on an airplane.
5. I produced (with a little help from DH [lol]) two beautiful, intelligent, independent daughters whose friends and co-workers compliment me about all the time. Makes me feel so good to know I helped create two wonderful human beings!

I am surprised at some of the things you say...they don't match the image I had from your Avatar..lol

I was born in Pittsburgh, moved to Westfield NY at 5 - had a grape farm, moved to Ohio at age 10. Moved to California at age 22 and have lived here for 40 years.
I was a hippie like person for a number of years - divorced that life style and that husband, accepted Jesus as my Savoir in the 1970s -married a Christian man.
I have 4 children and 10 1/2 grandchildren
I was an antiques appraiser.
I sew for my grandkids - oh I bet you knew that one!

I detasseled which is walking the rows of cornfields and pulling all the tassels off the cornstalks. Wet or scratchy corn blades can and usually do cause corn rash. It is also a hot hot job and we would see rats and snakes. I was 15 when I started and did it for 3 yrs. We would sing and laugh alot. I always came home so hot and tired and after as shower would zonk out and sleep. We had to be up at 4 in the morning to start the day in the cool air before the heat hit too bad.
