I am age 78 and not many of the items listed are on my 'bucket list'.

It is funny because I can't do and have no interest in half of those things. I think the list should be titled what you should do by 50 if you wanted to...

i don't drink because it is unhealthy for me personally. It makes me gain weight and makes it impossible for me to sleep well
i don't wear make-up because I don't look any better with it, it takes time to apply and it costs money.
I don't change tires, jump a battery or do taxes because it is easier and safer to hire someone else to do those things.

Interesting list though...

At 10 years past this age limit, I can honestly say there's only one thing I don't do on my own - MY TAXES!! Guess I've evolved!

Well I'm sure most of us can do some of these things. It's a servile of the fittest list..

All of these I have accomplished except the ones related to drinks. Since we do not drink I think that makes sense. Great list

Hey, at age 50 I replaced our roof!! At age 49 I learned how to drive stick shift.

Here is my secret for changing a tire - I got a 2-foot long steel pipe that fits over the end of the tire iron. Leverage makes all the difference. And agree with previous poster, step on that thing!!

I agree that if you are standing by the road needing a tire change, someone will stop and help. BUT -- will they be a good guy or a bad guy?? I prefer to change my own tire and get the heck out of there.

After the financial melt-down I felt quite smart because I did NOT invest in the stock market.

Put on make-up without a mirror? I learned to like my face 'as is.'

I can also use a chain saw and safely burn a brush pile. I can set a live trap and release the skunk that took the bait instead of the feral cat I was after. I can find dandelion and poke greens in season and ramps in the woods and cook them all. Nice to know how to skin game without leaving hair all over the carcass, too.

And the right bra is no bra at all.

I CANNOT run a tractor but I'm practicing looking good in a photo.

I've done them all but one and have no desire for it, that be getting around in a foreign country. But I'd have no trouble doing so, as I've traveled quite a bit in the lower 48 of the U.S., and Hawaii. But I'm like greenheron, not invested in stock market. Did once, however, to me it's a gambler's mecca, and I'm not a gambler. Got out of it quick, before melt down.

We've lived a long, good life, am never going to be rich, but couldn't be happier.
